Your C-section scar is not just a scar. It can change how your body moves, feels, and connects.

This guide takes you beyond the surface. It helps you understand how your scar can influence your breath, core and overall movement, and what you can do about it.

Inside, you will learn:

what is happening in your body after a C-section

why your scar can feel tight, numb, or disconnected

how to start scar release safely (even years later)

simple hands-on techniques to improve movement and reduce restriction

how to use breath and your nervous system to support healing

what is normal to feel as your body begins to change

how to use tools like Gua Sha and massage cups to go deeper.

This is not about forcing your body to change. It is about working with it, so your scar can soften, your body can move more freely, and you can feel more connected again.

This guide gives you a clear, practical way to start reconnecting with your body.

Chi Coffy is a caffeine-free, plant-based coffee alternative.

I encouraged many women to reduce or eliminate caffeine as part of their pelvic health rehabilitation. Caffeine can contribute to bladder irritation, digestive discomfort, disrupted sleep, and heightened stress responses, all of which can influence pelvic floor dysfunction and recovery.

Chi Coffy is made from 100% roasted chicory root, with no coffee beans, additives, preservatives, or other ingredients. It is completely natural, rich in prebiotic fibre, and gentle on the digestive and urinary systems.

By replacing coffee with Chi Coffy, women may experience:

improved gut health and regularity

reduced bladder sensitivity

more stable energy and sleep patterns

lowered stress levels and a calmer nervous system.

How to use:
Simply mix with hot water or your preferred milk. Enjoy once or twice daily as a warm, grounding, and caffeine-free beverage.

If you are unsure whether Chi Coffy is right for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’m here to support you in making informed, nourishing choices that align with your pelvic health and wellbeing goals.

Please note: While Chi Coffy is made from a single, natural ingredient, there is currently no research confirming its safety during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult me or your healthcare provider before use.

$12 (inc GST) per 160g container.

Pick up for free from 12 Holly Grove, Maungaraki or $8 nationwide shipping within New Zealand. Please contact Jennifer about shipping costs if you live in a rural area.

The plastic myofascial release cups are a simple, effective tool to support fascial mobility, reduce muscular tension, and complement pelvic health physiotherapy input and rehabilitation.

These soft, flexible cups create gentle suction on the skin to lift and mobilise the underlying fascia and soft tissues. This technique encourages blood flow, reduces discomfort, and helps release protective holding patterns, particularly in areas affected by surgery, tension, or restricted movement.

Myofascial release cupping may assist with:

tension in the abdominal wall, hips, or pelvic floor

restricted fascia contributing to pelvic pain or dysfunction

scarring or adhesions from surgeries such as C-sections or laparoscopies

support for lymphatic flow and tissue hydration.

How to use:

Apply a small amount of oil, balm to clean, dry skin or with bodywash in the shower/bath. Gently place the cup on the area and use light suction to glide slowly across the skin. Begin with light pressure and short sessions (2–5 minutes). Increase gradually as tolerated.

Avoid use if you:

have broken or irritated skin, open wounds, or active infections

are on anticoagulant medication or have a bleeding disorder

bruise easily or have fragile skin

have a known clotting issue or deep vein thrombosis

are pregnant and have not been medically cleared

experience significant sensory changes or pain with touch.

If you are unsure whether cupping is appropriate for your needs, feel free to get in touch. I am happy to offer guidance and individualised recommendations.

These cups are an accessible way to support your healing journey at home, empowering you to care for your body with confidence and ease.

Cost: $50 (inc GST) for three 7cm cups.

Pick up for free from 12 Holly Grove, Maungaraki or $10 nationwide shipping within New Zealand. Please contact Jennifer about shipping costs if you live in a rural area.

The smooth, contoured Gua Sha stone is a versatile tool for gentle myofascial release, helping to relieve tension and promote circulation across the face and body.

While traditionally used for facial massage, Gua Sha can also be used on key areas connected to pelvic floor health.

Key benefits and uses:

facial release: helps soften jaw tension, relax overactive facial muscles, and calm the nervous system, which can directly influence pelvic floor tension through the fascial and emotional connection between the face, jaw, and pelvis

abdominal massage: can be gently used over the belly to release fascial restrictions and support scar tissue healing, particularly after a caesarean section

thighs and adductors: supports release of inner thigh tension, which often contributes to pelvic or hip discomfort

lymphatic stimulation: promotes circulation, drainage, and healing by encouraging healthy tissue glide.

Made from smooth natural stone, the Gua Sha is compact and easy to clean.

Always use with a light natural oil or balm to reduce friction. Avoid using over fresh scars or inflamed tissue. Not recommended during pregnancy unless advised by your health professional. If you are unsure how to use it safely, please reach out as I am happy to help.

Cost: $20 (inc GST) each.

Pick up for free from 12 Holly Grove, Maungaraki or $10 nationwide shipping within New Zealand. Please contact Jennifer about shipping costs if you live in a rural area.

Nu Balm, also known as Nu Intimate Balm and Moisturiser is a gentle, 100% natural product formulated to support hydration, comfort, and healing of the vulval, perineal and vaginal tissues.

This hormone-free, chemical-free balm contains only three key natural ingredients:

Olive oil (Olea Europaea fruit oil) which offers deep moisturising and emollient properties to soften and nourish delicate skin.

Beeswax (Cera Alba) which acts as a natural thickener while providing a breathable, protective barrier to lock in moisture.

Kanuka leaf oil (Kunzea Ericoides) which is known for its calming, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties, helping to soothe irritation and support skin healing.

While Nu Balm is primarily used as a vaginal moisturiser, it can also support a range of pelvic health needs, including:

vulval dryness, irritation, or itching (especially during the postnatal period and menopause)

caesarean or perineal scar massage

aftercare following waxing or shaving

general skin support for sensitive areas.

Directions for use:

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin or tissues as needed. Suitable for daily use and can be used on days when vaginal estrogen cream is not being used. Always perform a patch test prior to first use.

Nu Balm offers a simple, effective, and natural way to care for sensitive pelvic tissues, which helps to support a woman’s healing journey with gentle, plant-based ingredients.

$32 (inc GST) for 50ml bottle.

Pick up for free from 12 Holly Grove, Maungaraki or $10 nationwide shipping within New Zealand. Please contact Jennifer about shipping costs if you live in a rural area.
