Pregnancy and Postnatal

As a mum of three boys, Jennifer knows how growing and birthing a baby brings changes to your body. Physiotherapy can help with pelvic and low back pain as your bump grows bigger throughout pregnancy, as well as other issues such as leaking when you laugh or sneeze.

During the postnatal period, you may benefit from a review of your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, particularly if you have had a long or difficult birth. This ensures everything is working well, especially before returning to sports or having another baby.

Alongside physiotherapy, Jennifer is an experienced breastfeeding peer counsellor. She facilitates antenatal breastfeeding classes and provides breastfeeding support throughout the Hutt Valley to mothers and their whānau.
